Mosaic Greece hagiography
The mosaic tiles of his arts are made of natural colored stones, picked from Pilio’s banks and seashores.
All of the stones are cut in hand, carefully and patiently. Due to the nature of raw materials, Petridis Argyris succeed in transfusing rare and unique hues in all of his mosaics. Moreover not only did he give warmth and texture at flesh illustrations, but he also gave them a great deal of artistic value.
Petridis Argiris was a self-taught artist, gifted with refined esthetic. All of his art forms (byzantine hagiography) have expression and feelings that stems right from his heart.
The pain, the happiness, the sadness, the strictness, the sweetness and the Christianity as well, assimilated into his work of art within a simplicity that moves deeply its art lovers.
